Berks Branch TOMCC Nacelle Report – April 2020
Berks Branch TOMCC Nacelle Report – April 2020
It’s alright now!! We’ve just had our Branch AGM. We reviewed last year, planned next year and elected the committee. So may I introduce to you: Lauraine Blackburn, Chair; Derek Young, Vice Chair, Events Coordinator and MAG Representative; Don Maclean, Secretary; Mick Billing,Treasurer; Nick Swain, Scribe; Collin Fox, Runs Coordinator; Mike Ryall, Tools Registrar Derick Nobbs, Regalia Officer and Paul Ralph, Webmaster.
After a great January during which we managed four ride-outs, the weather outside’s been frightful, particularly at the weekends. But we have managed runs to the AV8 Café at the Cotwolds’ Airport and to the Oxford Bus and Morris Motors Museum. We’re hoping for better weather soon, because all we wanna do is ride our bikes and ride them where we likes. Our Whatsapp and Facebook Groups have proved a successful method of organising rides. If you want to join one of these groups, drop an email to tomccberksruns@btinternet.com.
Things will start to kick off in April. We’ve organised a weekend trip to the National AGM in Llanberis. We’re riding up on the Friday and staying in Bangor at a Premier Inn, have some fun riding the wonderful Welsh roads on Saturday, attend the AGM on Sunday and ride back together on Monday. We’ll be joining in the Berkshire Egg Run in Reading on Good Friday, followed by a further ride-out of our own. Our Branch stand will have its first outing of the year at the MAG Easter Show on Easter Sunday.
Keep on rolling!
