August 2019 Nacelle

Berks Branch TOMCC Nacelle Report – August 2019
Any Any Any Old Iron!!! We had a fantastic collection of old british iron at our Old Motorcycle Gathering and a good turnout of visitors to enjoy it. We even had a stall selling delicious cakes to go alongside the beer, coffee and hot food served in the bar. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
A strong contingent from the BSA owners club came to the show and scooped two of the prizes on offer including Best In Show, won by Terry’s 1955 BSA 500cc twin in green metallic paint. Graham’s 1957 version of the same bike won Best British and Adrian’s blue1973 T120 Triumph Bonneville picked up the Best Triumph prize. Congratulations to all three. At the end of the day, the Branch stand was packed up and moved to Dr B’s bike show in aid of Dr Barnado’s children’s homes on the following day.
There was more old iron on display at the Hayne’s Motor Museum when a group of branch members went on a visit there earlier in the month. And more members rode out together to Cassington Bike Night, for an evening with other bikes and their owners. A warm welcome to new member Ian Edwards who came along to our Thursday club night.
Coming up this month, the branch stand will be at the Popham Megameet on the 11th August, one of the biggest bike shows of the year. And we’ll being doing some more rides together.
Keep on rolling!
