Berks Branch TOMCC Nacelle Report – January 2020
Who was rocking at the house of blue light? That was just one of the questions at our annual branch quiz night. The answer, as all rockers should know, is Miss Molly. There was a good turn-out for our quiz as people formed teams to tackle Bob Cromwell’s set of mostly motorcycle-related questions and compete for the enticing range of prizes on offer. It was an entertaining evening, but to the embarrassment of all the Triumph Branch members present, first prize went to a team of visitors from the VMCC, who seemed to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of everything to do with old motorbikes.
On Remembrance Sunday, a group of Branch members donned red jackets and joined with thousands of other bikers for the annual Ring of Red ride on the M25 to honour those from the armed services who have given their lives for our country.
As another year draws to a close we have already started planning next year. We are having a Bring and Buy sale for motorcycle-related bits and pieces at 8pm on 30 January, our Branch Annual General meeting at 8pm on 13 February, our Old Bike Gathering at 11am on 20 June and our annual Classic and Custom Bike show on Saturday 18th July with free camping on site. All these events are at our normal club venue, the BCSA, RG30 3RS. Download the Events list from the Branch website or join our Facebook Group for the latest updates.
Keep on rolling!
