Berks Branch TOMCC Nacelle Report – May 2020
Berks Branch TOMCC Nacelle Report – May 2020
What a difference a day makes!! We had four rides in the first half of the month. We started with a ride out to Petersfield, stopped for refreshments at Aylings Garden Centre and then rode home, pausing at Alton to see the Flying Scotsman. Our next ride-out was to the Ridgeway, stopping at the Court Hill Centre for coffee and to enjoy the fantastic view. The next ride was to the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum, with military jets and a Lightning simulator that you could sit in!!! Our last ride was to the Haven Café near Salisbury. But then the rides stopped, with the Prime Minister telling us all to stay in our houses. Now our Thursday evening club nights are cancelled and we have also cancelled our two shows in June and July.
For now, there are no physical Branch events and we can’t even ride our bikes. But we can still communicate with each other via the internet and we’re working on ways to do more of that. We already have a website and a Facebook page, we set up Facebook and Whatsapp groups for arranging runs and we have regular newsletters that are emailed out to Branch members. But we are thinking about other things we can do online to stay in touch with each other and share our passion for Triumph motorbikes. There’ll be a return to precedented times, when we’ll meet up and ride our bikes again. In the meantime:
Keep on smiling!!
