Below is the report published in the December 2025 issue of Nacelle, which covered Branch activities in October 202<\/em>5<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom the dew-soaked hedge creeps a crawly caterpillar and breeze blows leaves of a musty-coloured yellow, yes, yes, yes\u2026\u201d. (Credit to Ray Davies)  Autumn is well and truly here.  However, we\u2019re a hardy bunch (well some of us are) at Berkshire and weekly ride-outs continue apace, so why not join us and blow some cobwebs out of those hard to reach places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cold autumn day’s ride to Britain’s fastest race-track for a dozen members<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Early in October we\u00a0rode to the Rawles Motorsport open-day in Upper Froyle.\u00a0 High quality restorers of Austin \u201cBig\u201d Healeys, fantastic cars with accompanying prices of full resto\u2019s (>\u00a3100K).\u00a0 Mr Wobbly led us on an enjoyable bucolic route to the middle of Hampshire, although some may say it was a bit of a peregrination\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ride-out to Rawles Motorsport, unbelievably, some members were even on Triumphs!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I hope you didn\u2019t miss Mick Bennett\u2019s engrossing presentation on riding Route 66.\u00a0 Although the tour took place over 2 decades ago, his photographic odyssey and description of issues that the group overcame, in their 4,000+ mile trip, remain relevant today and hopefully inspired attendees to be more adventurous.\u00a0 The old adage that the difference between our nations\u00a0is that Americans think a hundred years a long time and British think a hundred miles a long way, springs to mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christmas buffet 2024, seats go fast, so get there early this year<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Whatever you do, keep the evening of the 18th December free so that you can join us at the BCSA for our annual Christmas Buffet, gratis naturally.  There will be a raffle with fantastic prizes, as you\u2019ve all come to expect.  We hope to see you there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
