Annual General Meeting 2022

The 2022 Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on:

Thursday 10 February 2022 8.30pm

It will be held at the BCSA as part of our weekly club night. The AGM will start at 8.30pm. All Branch members are welcome to come to the meeting where we review the last year, present the accounts, elect a new committee and discuss plans for the coming year. Branch members can vote, ask questions of the current committee, put forward propositions and join in the discussion. This is an opportunity for all Branch members to have a say in the plans for the Branch during the next year.

People standing for the committee must be full members of the Branch and must be nominated by two other full members at any of the Thursday club nights leading up to the AGM on the nomination sheet that is on the notice board by the bar.

See the following links for more information.

Bring & Buy Sale

The branch will be hosting a bring & buy sale at the BCSA on Thursday 13 January 2022 from 8:00pm to around 10.00pm

This is the ideal opportunity for you to have a clearout of all those motorcycle related items in your garage that you no longer need and make a little pocket money at the same time!

Plus, you might also pick up the odd item from another member which you will find useful!

Just turn up with your stuff and lay it out on table in the bar and see if anyone wants to buy it.

Wander round and look at what else is on offer .

Remember, one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure.

Food, drink and endless chat about motorbikes on offer as on all other Thursday club nights.

Some photos below of the last bring & buy sale we held at the beginning of 2020.

Ride to H Cafe – Jan 22

Riders with their bikes at the start of the ride-out

We had a great start to 2o22 with 12 riders and their bikes meeting together at 10.30am on 1st January for our first branch ride of the year. We met up near junction 12 of the M4 and then rode to the H Cafe.

Toy Run 2021 – Photos

A group of our members rode together on the annual Reading Toy Run (see here for details). We met up about half a mile away and then rode together to the start point where we joined up with hundreds of other bikers, many in fancy dress with decorated bikes, for the ride from Reading to Wokingham where we dropped off toys to Barnado’s.

Ride to Court Hill – Nov 21

With temperatures below freezing as we got up in the morning and around 1 degree C when I left the house, I was not sure how many people would be turning up for our Sunday ride-out. However, six hardy bikers shrugged off the freezing conditions and met up at Cobbs Farm. The temperature had risen to a cool 2 degrees as we set off for the Court Hill centre near Wantage. The roads were mercifully dry, so we did not encounter any ice and arrived for coffee and cakes at the Court Hill centre with nothing more amiss than freezing hands and feet.

Christmas Special 2021

On the Thursday 16 December we will be having a Christmas special evening at our club night starting at 8pm at the BCSA. Its open to all Branch members and their partners and there will be a free buffet of festive food, Christmas music and a raffle. The bar will be open as usual. So come along and enjoy a yuletide evening with fellow Branch members.

Curry Night Photos

Side dishes for people to serve themselves

Our Branch Curry Night on the 25 November was popular. There was choice of three curries to order and a self service choice of side dishes with some Ravi Shankar albums played through the sound system as background music. Around 30 members and partners came along for enjoyable winters evening.
