We went for a mid-week ride and stopped off for lunch in the cafe at Goodwood motor racing circuit. The cafe has balcony overlooking the main straight and pitlane. There was a car trackday in progress which we could watch from the balcony.

We went for a ride to Rawles Classic Cars Open Day. They had lots of cars there and an amazing collection of Austin Healey’s. Here are some photos from the day.

The weather forecast warned of rain, but we set off anyway for a ride to Loomies, the popular biker cafe near Petersfield. The cafe was less crowded than usual, and the sofa area inside was free, so we got to eat and drink in comfort and style.

There was a slight panic when one of us locked his helmet in his topbox and then the key broke off in the lock, but we managed to sort it out and all was well. The rain held off as well.

We went on an early Sunday morning ride to TJ’s Cafe, in South Marsden near Swindon, so we could sample their excellent cooked breakfasts and then ride home again before the weather became too hot. Turned out the cafe is on the site of a factory that used to make Spitfires.

With dry, sunny but slightly cooler weather, we had a good turnout for our ride to Longstock Farm Shop and Cafe on Waitrose’s Leckford estate.
Here are some pictures of the ride.
On another hot Sunday, we had an early ride-out to the rustic charms of the Court Hill Centre Cafe on the Ridgeway near Wantage. Here are some photos of the ride.
And for something completely different, we had a Branch ride-out to Sammy Miller’s on their Italian Bike Day. Here are some photos of the day.
