Bike Meet Photos – April 26

We had a cracking start to the year with our first Lunchtime Bike Meet of 2026 on Saturday. The weather was dry, warm and sunny and we had a good turnout with a great collection of bikes on the lawn. The bar was open, hot food was on sale and the picnic tables were out with music playing in the background. Don’t stop us now, ’cause we’re having a good time. Lets hope for more sunny weather for a great summer out on our bikes. See some photos of the event below.

Below is a short video that we made of the event and is on our YouTube channel.

Below is a longer video taken by a visitor for his YouTube channel. It refers to the meet incorrectly as the The Old Motorcycle Gathering, but that is our show for old bikes and will be coming on the Sunday 28 June 2026, where we award prizes for the best bikes in various categories. There were no prizes for this event and it was open to all bikes. Easy mistake to make though, because there were a lot of old bikes there and some were of show winning standard. Take a look.

Ride to Popham – Apr 26

Another dry sunny day brought around a dozen Branch members out on on assortment of different Triumphs for a fun ride to the Spitfire Cafe at Popham Airfield. Here are some photos of the ride.

Ride to Army Flying Museum – Jan 26

High chairs provided a handy place to put our helmets

A cold, foggy morning saw 6 members set off for the Army Flying Museum in Middle Wallop again.

We have often ridden there and just gone to the cafe. This time Graham went round the museum as well and found some bikes amongst the flying machines as you can see from the photos below.

Here is a video of the ride shot with multiple on board cameras. Take a look.

Rides in 2025

We had a really good year’s riding in 2025 with a record 79 organised Branch rides made up of 43 weekend ride-outs, normally Sunday mornings, and 36 midweek ride-outs. We also had more people leading rides, We ride all the year round whenever the weather is reasonable. All members are welcome to come on any Branch ride which are arranged through a Whatsapp Group.

See the video below for some highlights of our rides in 2025.

Quiz Night 2025-Results

We had a good time at our annual quiz night in November. Bob Cromwell once again served up a set of brain-teasing questions and there were some good prizes to be won.

Ride to Rawles – Oct 2025

We had another Saturday ride to Rawles Motorsport Open Day, an event that we have been to a number of other times. Rawles is a restorer of Austin Healey’s and there Open Days are always interesting, with displays of some of their immaculate restorations as well as seeing around their workshops and the processes they go through in restoring cars. The event also raises money for the Naomi House Charity.

This year, Collin filmed the ride there with an 0n-board camera, which you can watch below.

No-one on the ride took photographs at the destination this time, but you can click here to see photos last year’s ride to Rawles.
