Ride to Rawles – Oct 2025

We had another Saturday ride to Rawles Motorsport Open Day, an event that we have been to a number of other times. Rawles is a restorer of Austin Healey’s and there Open Days are always interesting, with displays of some of their immaculate restorations as well as seeing around their workshops and the processes they go through in restoring cars. The event also raises money for the Naomi House Charity.

This year, Collin filmed the ride there with an 0n-board camera, which you can watch below.

No-one on the ride took photographs at the destination this time, but you can click here to see photos last year’s ride to Rawles.

Swallowfield Show – 2025 – Photos

Berkshire Branch members in the main arena showing their bikes

We had a cracking time at the Swallowfield Show, which is probably one of the biggest and oldest country shows you are likely to find. It’s been going since 1885 and it’s huge. The classic vehicle display alone had about 250 vehicles in it. We had a stand there for the whole two days and rode a selection of our bikes in the main arena. Here are some photos and a video of the event.

Ride to Whitehorse Hill – Aug 25

Riders stopping for a photo opportunity at Whitehorse Hill

We had a new runs leader, with James leading us on a scenic route through the country side and up to the car park and viewing point on Whitehorse Hill near Uffington. After stopping to admire the view and take a few photographs, James led us off again to The Bell Inn at Aldworth for refreshments. Here are some photos of the day.

British Superbikes 2025 – Photos

Riders leaving the pitlane at Thruxton

We had a stand at the British Superbike (BSB) round at Thruxton Circuit in August 2025. We were there for the whole weekend, setting up on Thursday and staying through to Sunday night. We were part of the display of bikes set up by Thruxton in the skid pan area along with other bike clubs and people with bikes of interest. We had six to ten bikes on display each day and there was a lot of interest from the large numbers of people wandering through the display area over the weekend. We had a fun weekend and got to see some of the racing and the live bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Here are some photos of the weekend.

Summer BBQ – July 25 – Photos

Bikes parked up on the lawn at our summer BBQ

We had a good time at our Branch BBQ on a Thursday evening on 3 July. The weather was dry and warm, we had plenty of excellent food and a good turnout of Branch members with their guests. There were some excellent bikes brought along and we awarded the Steve Butcher Memorial Trophy to the Best Branch Member’s bike there. This year this was awarded to a 1971 Triumph Trophy 650 twin.
