Spring Bring & Buy Sale -2026

Last year we held a Bring & Buy sale in the summer in addition to our popular January Bring & Buy Sale. It was a great success, so we have have decided to do it again this year, but a little earlier in the year this time.

So on Thursday 21 May 2026, we will have a bring and buy (aka autojumble) sale for motorcycle related stuff at the BCSA at our Thursday club night, from 8pm to 10pm. So if you have any: motorcycle clothing, parts, tools, accessories or books that you no longer want, bring them along.

Just turn up with your stuff and lay it out on a table in the bar or on the lawn in front of the building and see if anyone wants to buy it.

Or just come along and browse through what is on offer. You might just grab a bargain.

Food, drink and endless chat about motorbikes is also on offer as on all other Thursday club nights.

See here for photos of our Bring & Buy Sale in January 2026.

Summer BBQ – 2 July 26

We’ll be having a BBQ on Thursday 2 July 2026 for Branch members and their guests instead of the usual weekly club night starting at 7.30pm. It will be held outside at the BCSA where we normally meet.

There will be a small charge per head per serving for BBQ food. Drinks will be served and paid for at the bar as usual.

There will be no subs collected on the night.

We will hold a raffle with some fabulous prizes to be won.

During the evening, we will judge all the members bikes that are brought along, and we will present the Steve Butcher Memorial trophy for the Best Branch Members Bike to the owner of the best bike there. If you want to be in with a chance of winning this prestigious award, come to the BBQ on a bike.

See here for some photos of last year’s event.

John Bottomley – Evolution of the motorcycle

John Bottomley will be giving a presentation to the TOMCC Berkshire Branch and invited guests on Thursday 5 March 2026, starting at 8pm at the BCSA.

John will chronicle the Inventions and Innovation necessary for the development of a motorcycle starting in 3400 BC and finishing in early 20th Century when the audience can then add their own knowledge and motoring experience . It is focused on motorcycles but does apply to cars. John will use a few examples of machines, but it is not a chronology of early bikes , or cars.

John is a former engineer and has ridden motorcycles off-road and on the track all his adult life. He also started the motorcycle team at Brooklands Museum.

John gave an excellent presentation to us last year on GP Racing Development which was well attended and everybody enjoyed it. So we’re looking forward to another great evening with John.
